HACHETTE LIVRE
After receiving rejection after rejection for the best part of a year, I decided to try my luck on foreign shores. The French have a history of revolution, and a noted respect for philosophers, so France it is then. On 19th February 1996 I approached Hachette, and received the following response.

Apres examen, et en depit de l'interet que presente votre ouvrage, il s'avere qu'il ne nous est pas possible d'integrer ce projet dans notre programme editorial des prochains mois et regrettons de ne pouvoir envisager sa publication.

Fuck knows what that lot says. Still, I managed to obtain a very rough translation from a French/English dictionary in Waterlooville library, and I get the overall message. Rejection.
