Thank you for your letter and enclosed manuscript for a book entitled "The Evolutionary Development of Life Forms".
Our Editorial Group have now had a chance to consider your project and, while it is obviously an interesting idea for a book, I am afraid that it is not suitable for Polity. This is not because of any problems with the topic itself, but simply because it does not fit with the plans we have for developing our list.
I am sorry to have to relay such disappointing news, but I do hope you succeed in placing it with another publisher. We're grateful to you for allowing us to consider it.
